Factoring Operations Officer

The Factoring Operations Officer is responsible for processing of daily operational activities including inputting of transactions, reviewing documentation, processing of payments and generating reports and follow-ups to ensure accuracy and consistency with Bank policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•      Manages the daily workflow within the Factoring Operations Team;

•      Responsible for the daily delivery of the highest level of customer service to both internal and external clients;

•      Run follow-ups and debt management activities to control payment overdues;

•      Review and balance general ledgers and transactions on daily and monthly basis as per procedures defined;

•      Accurately identify and correct any out of balance situations;

•      Focus on controls and processes to ensure compliance with local and global regulations and product polices;

•      Ensure any deviations or exceptions are appropriately raised, documented and approved prior to processing; 

•      Develop good working relationships with Operations Teams and relationship managers ensuring a high standard of service, in line with business strategy and requirements;

•      Understand and follow Bank and all other Regulatory policies, procedures, and regulations;

•      Makes recommendations to improve processes and procedures and create efficiency while maintaining safety and soundness at all times; and

•      Additional support and duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies

•      Computer skills: (Microsoft Office);

•      Business/Banking Diploma preferred;

•      Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and commercial lending, preferably accounts receivable financing; 

•      Strong verbal/written communication skills and attention to detail; and

•      Commercial Invoicing/Lending, Accounting/Finance experience preferred
