Real Estate Finance Middle Office Supervisor

We are currently in the process of recruiting a Supervisor for our Real Estate Finance Middle Office. The selected candidate must have suitable banking experience. This position reports to the Head of Real Estate Middle office and is responsible for providing account and operational management within the Department. The selected candidate will also be expected to interact with clients and other units within the Bank in the execution of these duties. This will involve acquiring a working knowledge of the day-to-day processes to effectively respond to inquiries including the duties as described hereunder.


Principal Duties:

  • Day to day administration, preparing loan drawdowns and processing disbursements;

  • Preparing sanction letters, security documentation, checking of all documentation and perfection of security;

  • Support the Relationship Officers with the preparation of credit applications for presentation to the Bank’s Board Risk Management and onboarding of new clients;

  • Monitor facility activities including repayments and keeping all reporting and dashboard systems duly updated;  

  • Perform an annual review of real estate policies and procedures and formulating processes to cater for new regulatory and management reporting requirements as they transpire;

  • Liaise with Back-Office and Risk Management on all matters relating to security documentation and loan drawdowns and waivers; and

  • Monitor loan repayments, perform periodic project/relationship reviews and adherence to the Bank’s escalation processes where necessary.


Education, Skills and Experience

  • A Banking Degree or equivalent;

  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills; 

  • Strong analytical skills particularly in regards to cash flows, projections and financial statement;

  • A minimum of 5 years banking experience with adequate knowledge at a commercial or corporate level

  • Be conversant with mainstream banking applications and the Microsoft Office suite;

  • On the job training will be provided however people with previous experience in this field will be will be considered favorably.
